1. Background on Qatar Charity

Qatar charity is humanitarian organization founded at 1980s in Qatar Doha to help and support Qatari society and also the needy communities around the world. It stands for humanitarian mission to break the cycle of poverty and promote recovery and development in order to make life livable.

Qatari charity has been operating in Somali directly since 2007 to actively engage lifesaving initiatives and also contribute grass root development of vulnerable communities through engaging multi-divergent programs that covers: livelihood, WASH, education, emergence relief and recovery, Health and Development.

QC is working strongly to create direct contact with the target group and effectively respond their needs immediately as expected through using professionalism and well organized staff.

1. Position Profile

Livelihood officer is responsible for directing and managing identification, selection, screening of target beneficiaries for distribution of livelihood components.

2.1 Job specifications:

• Develop detailed action plan for the implementation of livelihood programs.
• Coordinate and organize distribution mechanism as well as selection of vulnerable groups through using QC selection guidelines.
• Establish and maintain coordination with other stakeholders in the region to make sure that quality of work and proper targeting are achieved.
• Work with local contractors to make sure that they are following contract guidelines and report to PM any violation of contract made.
• Having close link and communication with communities of concern to make sure that every step taken is shared with them for the aim of taking informed decision about the project.
• Prepare activities notes to generate weekly report to submit PM 

2.2 Qualifications

Position holder is required to have degree in Economics and Management, have solid experience(Minimum 3 years)  in the field of humanitarian work. Candidate should also have excellent managerial skill as well as ability to work with others. Finally Provision of English and Arabic language plus computer skills are mandatory.
